Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad incorporates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in 28 standards-aligned events. Each Science Olympiad event helps students develop 21st-century skills essential in today’s STEM fields as they apply and exhibit a variety of talents, such as:

  • designing and prototyping
  • technical writing
  • chemistry lab skills
  • displaying in-depth life, earth, space, and physical scientific knowledge.

Students on each team pair up to tackle the 28 events in a Saturday competition that encourages collaboration, teamwork, and cross-curricular training. Each year, a portion of the events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of life, earth and space science, chemistry, anatomy, genetics, physics, geology, mechanical engineering, and technology.
