UIL Academics

The University Interscholastic League (UIL) offers a wide variety of subject-specific academic contests for high school students, encompassing many elements of required high school coursework. These contests build upon the academic skills developed in the classroom and offer students an opportunity to stretch their talents above and beyond those requirements.  Some of the 29 possible contests include number sense, social studies, current events, science, and journalism.  Tryouts are ongoing throughout the first semester, and teams for each contest are finalized in February.  For more information, please contact Kayla Roca.
